The accused, Mukul Singh and his wife, Archana reportedly ecorded a unclad video of the 16-year-old girl and threatened her of making it public in case she left the house. The matter came to light after the girl managed to flee, and narrated her plight before her parents.
A police representative reveals that they “have registered a case against the couple basing on the complaint by the victim’s father on Friday.”
Residents of the area has also reportedly launched a manhunt to nab the couple. A police team has been sent to their native place in Bihar.
Police said Singh and his wife had engaged the girl two years back. She was tortured if she failed to do any work, the girl has said in her complaint.
